A huge AEW match type is making its return at All Out, where the reward can be career-changing for the victor.
AEW revealed last night on Rampage that All Out will feature the return of the Casino Ladder Match.
The Casino Ladder match works in the same way as the Casino Battle Royale, where participants enter in groups during different time frames of the match, based on the symbol revealed from a deck of cards. There will be four groups and the Joker to finish off the participants.
The winner of the match is the person to climb the ladder and retrieve the chip elevated above the ring. The chip can then be cashed in similarly to the Money In The Bank briefcase in WWE, where the winner gets a shot at the World Championship whenever.
There have only been two Casino Ladder matches before this. The previous winners of the match were Brian Cage at Double Or Nothing 2020 and Hangman Adam Page at AEW Dyanmite’s Anniversary episode in 2021.
It is unknown who will be in the match at Double Or Nothing as of yet, but it could work in the same way as the Face Of The Revolution Ladder Match at Revolution, where each participant had to win their qualifying match to be eligible.
More will be revealed in the next couple of weeks on Dynamite and Rampage.
The winner of the match could be next in line to challenge CM Punk, Jon Moxley or someone else, depending on who holds the AEW World Championship after All Out.
