Odell Beckham Jr drops major hint on social media where he might want to play in 2022

Wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr has dropped a possible hint over where he wants to sign this season with a comment on Instagram.

Odell Beckham Jr is looking for a new team to play for in 2022, having been released by the Los Angeles Rams at the end of last season, a season in which he played a big part in getting the team to the Super Bowl and then going on to win it.

He only had 44 receptions for 537 yards in the regular season, although it did still produce 5 touchdowns, but it wasn’t until the postseason that he really began to shine once again, catching a further 21 balls for 288 yards and 2 touchdowns, including the opening score against the Cincinnati Bengals in the Super Bowl.

His season though ended in somewhat tragic circumstances as he suffered an ACL injury, having done the same whilst with the Cleveland Browns in 2020, which has meant a lot of teams are staying well away from him for the time being.

A long way to go

As a result of that, there is a feeling that it would be better for him to wait until he is fully recovered and then pick a team that is contending for a Super Bowl title and then join them towards the end of the season in an attempt to push them over the top, much in the same way he did for the Rams in 2021.

And when it comes to contenders, there aren’t many bigger than the ones that Beckham might have hinted at over the weekend.

What’s he done?

The Buffalo Bills are definitely a team that you can consider as a contender for the Super Bowl this year, having made great strides in with Josh Allen as their quarterback and rocking the league’s best defence last year in terms of yards allowed and points conceded in 2021, it’s no surprise then to see that they are seen as among the favourites to win it all this year.

They added to that impressive defence in the form of Super Bowl 50 MVP and 2-time Super Bowl champion Von Miller at linebacker as they look to take that next step after being literally seconds away from beating the Kansas City Chiefs in the playoffs.

Miller posted a video on his Instagram account of him enjoying himself at Bills training camp recently alongside the caption ‘U KNO IM LIT’, with Beckham Jr both praising his former teammate (they both played with the Los Angeles Rams last season) and then hinting that he might want to join forces once again:

The Bills already have a pretty stacked offense, with Allen able to make great plays with both his arm and his legs, Stefon Diggs, Dawson Knox, O.J Howard, Tavon Austin and Jamison Crowder to name but a few. But if they could get Beckham Jr onboard too, then there might not be any defense in the land that can stop them.
