Allan Saint-Maximin gifted one lucky Newcastle fan a Rolex watch after the Magpies disposed of Nottingham Forest to claim victory in their season opener.
Eddie Howe’s team cruised to a comfortable 2-0 win over the newly promoted side, thanks to goals from Fabian Schar and Callum Wilson.
And it seems the result put the skilful Frenchman in a particularly generous mood – much to the benefit of one lucky supporter…
Video: Saint-Maximin’s act of kindness
Loyal Newcastle fan, Steve Dutton, was waiting along the player exit route to show his appreciation to the squad after their victory.
He carried with him a French flag that had Saint-Maximin’s name and number across the front, which immediately caught the attention of the Newcastle star.
After stopping to sign a few autographs, Saint-Maximin – who is known for his typically lavish fashion sense – brandished a box containing a beautiful gold Rolex that he kindly decided to gift to Mr. Dutton.
It really is quite remarkable footage and you can view the wholesome moment below.
Dutton took to Twitter to address the moment, thanking Saint-Maximin for his generosity.
“I was the person who was gifted the watch from ASM. I was totally speechless. I thought he was coming to sign autographs and have pictures taken with the kids. I’m still in shock, I can’t thank @saintmaximin enough.”
It’s great to see a star player giving back those that follow him so dearly and, rather incredibly, it’s not even the first time Saint-Maximin has given a Newcastle fan a super high-end timekeeper.
Back in December 2021, ‘ASM’ decided to bless a Magpies supporter by the name of Michael Urwin with a watch worth over £2,000.

The club had just recorded their first victory of the 2021/2022 Premier League season, so it seems like he’s making a habit of treating lucky members of the general public whenever the milestone is reached.
All we can say is that Newcastle fans will be glad they didn’t have to wait as long as they did last season to claim there first three points.
And, maybe more importantly, make sure that you’re at St. James’ Park for the opener next season – you might just walk away with a shiny new piece of jewellery.
