Gonzalo Higuain scores most powerful free-kick of 2022 contender for Miami FC vs Cincinatti

Gonzalo Higuain scored one of the most powerful free-kicks we’ll see in the 2022/23 season for Miami FC against Cincinnatti.
Higuain was in the starting line-up for the Major League Soccer clash.
Miami FC went into the game near the bottom of the Eastern Conference and needed a positive result in the race for the playoffs.
And Higuain got them off to a flying start with a howitzer of a free-kick in the 22nd minute.
The home side were given a set-piece just outside Cincinatti’s box.
Higuain took responsibility and he unleashed a ferocious effort that soared into the top corner and beyond the reach of Roman Celentano.
It was an absolute thunderbolt and you can view it below…

What. A. Strike.
The great Ray Hudson was on commentary duty for the match and his comments of the goal were brilliant.
“Certainly a golazo from Gonzalo! You practice these on the practice field until the moon goes to sleep. And then your time comes.

“That is why he has been such a great player in history. He wants the spotlight on him. And that what makes him so great. Cometh the hour… he pierces this one into the top corner where the spiders live. The spiders aren’t living in there any more. Perfection from the French-born Argentina man.”

Higuain went on to add two more goals to his tally as he completed his hat-trick. He’s now netted seven times in 18 games for the club this season.
Unfortunately for Higuain, his heroics weren’t enough as the two sides drew 4-4.
Miami FC are now four points behind Cincinatti, who currently occupy the seventh and final playoff berth.
