Mike Tyson ear bite: Iron Mike reveals what Evander Holyfield's ear tasted like

Mike Tyson on what Evander Holyfield's ear tasted like

Mike Tyson is known for being one of the greatest heavyweight boxers the sport has seen, but he is also known for his craziness.

He will always be known for his ridiculous talent, but in the ring, the red mist did descend for what will probably be the one moment most remember him for.

The former heavyweight champion had a rematch with old foe Evander Holyfield, looking to avenge the defeat inflicted on him in the first fight.

However, Tyson let himself down and was disqualified after he bit a chunk of Holyfield’s ear off. A moment boxing fans worldwide know about regardless of age.

There was total shock in the crowd and in the sporting world, Tyson’s actions were unheard of, sending shockwaves around the globe.

It was a mega fight for him though, bringing in over £150 million, ranking it the fourth largest financial fight in history.

In homage to his infamous moment, he has released a marijuana snack called ‘Mike Bites’ and of course, the edibles are shaped like ears.

In a recent interview with American radio host Alex Jones, Iron Mike was chewing on some Mike Bites which prompted him to say: “It tastes better than Evander’s… Evander’s ear tastes like a**.”

On top of all that, he is known for keeping pet tigers, even deciding to fight with them at times, with footage being caught of him doing this.

The youngest ever heavyweight world champion returned to the ring in 2020 for the first time in 15 years for an exhibition bout with Roy Jones Jr.

We’ve already seen how big the market is for exhibition fights for the retired greats, with Floyd Mayweather’s exhibitions making hundreds of millions of pounds.

It’s rumoured that Tyson will return to the ring once again for an exhibition fight, we just don’t know who against or when.

With it being an exhibition bout and not a professional one, there’s more leniency on weight so that opens up more possibilities for Tyson.
