Israel Adesanya Next UFC Fight
The Last Stylebender will be making his return to the UFC octagon in the main event of UFC 276, defending his 185-pound crown against Jared Cannonier.
If Adesanya is successful against Cannonier, it will be interesting to see who the company puts him up against next.
The aforementioned Whittaker has stated his desire to have a rematch against The Last Stylebender, should he be successful against Marvin Vettori at UFC Paris later this year.
Speaking to Ronny Lerner of Fox Sports Australia, Whittaker revealed that the Adesanya vs Whittaker 3 is certainly a possibility, should he win in France’s capital.
He said: “I definitely think a trilogy is possible primarily because of the Holloway-Volkanovski trilogy fight going ahead. Especially considering how close my fight was with Izzy last time, I definitely think that is a very real possibility.”
“A third fight between me and Izzy is inevitable because I’m going to stomp anyone that comes in front of me again.
“He [Adesanya] knows that too that’s why he said he’ll be seeing me in the future. I don’t see him losing the belt any time soon. He is good. He is good. I think I’m the person to beat him. And my mission stays the same, beat the next guy in front of me.”
