Bianca Belair has invited Rihanna to join her inside the wrestling ring as her tag team partner.
The EST of WWE recently worked with the singer’s cosmetics brand, Fenty Beauty, promoting a new lipstick collection on Instagram.
After taking part in the campaign, Belair has tabled an offer to extend their working relationship to her territory once Rihanna has given birth.
“When she’s ready to come back, I would love that!” the wrestling star told Metro. “Come tag team with me, we can be tag team champions! I think we would break the internet with that one!”
Belair admitted working with Rihanna — who is currently pregnant with her first child with rapper A$AP Rocky — was a dream come true. The Barbadian singer launched Fenty Beauty in 2017 and the success of the brand has skyrocketed her net worth to an estimated $1.7 billion, according to Forbes.
Belair expressed her love for makeup and discussed how it plays a major part in her appearance as a wrestler.
“I’m a huge fan of Rihanna, I love Fenty Beauty and I’ve always thought that being a WWE superstar, makeup is such a huge part of what we do, of our characters and our personas and our presence.
“Listen, we go in the ring, we have a face full of makeup but we’re in there fighting! I’m in the Royal Rumble for 56 minutes and at the end of it, lipstick still in tact — you know, sometimes my lashes fall off! But it’s a perfect collaboration.”
Indeed, Belair is always shown sporting stylish outfits and bright lipstick, as well as thick eyelashes and pristine eyebrows. As well as her famous braid, her WWE entrance segment also shows her trademark red lips.
The EST of WWE isn’t the only wrestler to sport iconic makeup looks either. The likes of Sasha Banks, Alexa Bliss, and Rhea Ripley all have memorable styles that really add character to their in ring personas.
It seems Belair has created the perfect collaboration and marketing idea for both the wrestling and cosmetics industry.
She went into further detail about the importance of her aesthetics when it comes to competing at the highest level of wrestling.
“For the guys, they can get, ‘Hey, you guys are going out in 30 minutes’. They can pull up their pants, tie their shoes and they’re ready to go,” she said. “For us, it’s makeup, lipstick, eyebrows, eyelashes — of course, we don’t have to do it, we look beautiful regardless.
“But for me, the glitter lipstick is a huge part of what I do, and my braids take so long, it’s a huge part of who I am, and my gear. So there’s a lot more that goes into being a female wrestler even before our matches.”
Belair is currently preparing to take on Liv Morgan, Doudrop, Nikki A.S.H, Ripley and Bliss in the Women’s Elimination Chamber match this weekend.
