It has been notoriously challenging to date getting hold of one of the next-gen devices, due to the fact that the demand has been far greater than stock levels.
Because of this, many still own PS4s and Xbox One consoles which are now up to eight years old and outdated. We are at that point of crossover between both the old and new systems, with some big-name franchises opting to disregard old-gen completely, Final Fantasy XVI for example.
